Week 6 Fantasy Football Rankings Position-by-Position Rundown

Kristopher KnoxOct 10, 2025

Week 6 got underway with Thursday night's NFC East grudge match between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. The action will pick back up on Sunday morning, when the Denver Broncos and New York Jets face off in London.

Don't forget to set lineups before 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, and don't forget that the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings will be on bye.

While the NFL continues to toss curveballs to fantasy managers on a weekly basis, we can have a few reasonable expectations based on past performances, projected roles and individual matchups.

Here's a rundown of what to expect in Week 6 in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

Quarterback

1 of 4
Commanders Chargers Football
Commanders QB Jayden Daniels
  1. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
  2. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
  3. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
  4. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
  5. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
  6. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  7. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
  8. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
  9. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
  10. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
  11. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
  12. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
  13. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks
  14. Justin Fields, New York Jets
  15. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

Though Jalen Hurts didn't fare particularly well on Thursday night, he still had passing and rushing touchdowns to boost his stat line. The potential for bonus rushing points is precisely why dual-threat quarterbacks like Drake Maye and Josh Allen remain near the top of our rankings this week.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will face a Chicago Bears defense that has surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Carolina Panthers signal-caller Bryce Young stands out as a potential Week 6 sleeper. While the third-year quarterback hasn't had many strong fantasy outings this year, he is coming off of a 198-yard, two-touchdown performance and entering a favorable matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

No team has allowed opposing quarterbacks to score more fantasy points than Dallas.

Young is still available in over 80 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Running Back

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor

  2. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
  3. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions
  4. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
  5. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers
  6. James Cook, Buffalo Bills
  7. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
  8. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
  9. Javonte Williams, Dallas Cowboys
  10. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins
  11. Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns
  12. Breece Hall, New York Jets
  13. Rico Dowdle, Carolina Panthers
  14. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
  15. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Washington Commanders
  16. J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos
  17. Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  18. Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens
  19. D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears
  20. Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks

Giants running back Cam Skattebo set the Week 6 standard with two catches, 110 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on Thursday night. If there's a back who can match that production, it's probably Jonathan Taylor.

The Indianapolis Colts standout is back to being a fantasy superhero, thanks in large part to the arrival of Daniel Jones. Now that the Colts are getting competent quarterback play, opposing defenses have had a difficult time keying in on Taylor, who leads the NFL with 480 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

Taylor will face a very average Arizona Cardinals run defense (13th-most fantasy points allowed to RBs) this week.

Dual-threat backs like Jahmyr Gibbs, Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, James Cook and Josh Jacobs should be among the points leaders this week. Jacobs has a particularly intriguing matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, who have surrendered the most fantasy points to opposing RBs.

The list of backs who carry concerns this week includes Jaylen Warren and Alvin Kamara. Warren is expected to return after missing Week 4 with a knee injury, but he'll be up against a stout Cleveland Browns run defense and could lose touches to Kenneth Gainwell—who shined against the Minnesota Vikings in Warren's stead.

Kamara is rapidly losing touches to Kendre Miller and will face a good New England Patriots defense.

There really isn't much RB talent to be found on the waiver wire this week, but it's worth checking to see if Arizona's Michael Carter or the Los Angeles Chargers' Kimani Vidal. Neither back is guaranteed to have a big role in Week 6, but both are expected to help replace injured starters.

Wide Receiver

3 of 4
49ers Rams Football
Rams WR Puka Nacua
  1. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams
  2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
  3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
  4. Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  5. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
  6. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears
  7. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
  8. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons
  9. Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders
  10. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
  11. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
  12. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
  13. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
  14. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
  15. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
  16. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets
  17. Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots
  18. DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
  19. Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
  20. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
  21. Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals
  22. Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers
  23. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
  24. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints
  25. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
  26. Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans
  27. D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears
  28. Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
  29. Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers
  30. Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints

Managers shouldn't find many surprises at wide receiver this week. Puka Nacua is set to continue his fantasy dominance—the Los Angeles Rams are set to host the Baltimore Ravens, who have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing WRs. Steady stars like Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Emeka Egbuka are likely to join him near the top of the leaderboard.

Ja'Marr Chase will be an interesting player to track in Week 6. While he hasn't quite been quarterback-proof, he returned to form with 110 yards and two touchdowns last week..

With the Cincinnati Bengals turning to Joe Flacco at quarterback, Chase has the potential to keep racking up those fantasy points.

While the waiver-wire pool isn't deep at running back, managers should find a few viable WR options. Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown, for example, is still available in roughly 50 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Brown has averaged just over five receptions and 50 receiving yards per game this season and has a favorable Sunday night matchup. The Chiefs will host the Detroit Lions, who have surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing WRs.

Tight End

4 of 4
Raiders Colts Football
Colts TE Tyler Warren
  1. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
  2. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
  3. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
  4. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
  5. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
  6. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
  7. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
  8. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
  9. Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins
  10. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
  11. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders
  12. Jake Tonges, San Francisco 49ers
  13. Mason Taylor, New York Jets
  14. Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns
  15. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

The Las Vegas Raiders have ruined Brock Bowers.

OK, that statement is a bit hyperbolic, but Las Vegas has definitely hurt the fantasy value of the second-year star. By allowing Bowers to play through a knee injury, the Raiders have made things worse. Bowers hasn't topped 50 yards since Week 1, and he's set to miss his second straight game.

If healthy, Bowers would probably stay at the top of the weekly TE rankings. As things stand, Trey McBride and rookie Tyler Warren are likely to flip-flop on the top spot throughout the season.

While Warren is the star of this year's rookie class, New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor is an emerging talent. He's become a focal point of the passing offense over the past two weeks, notching 19 targets and 14 receptions in that span.

Taylor may also be available on the waiver wire. He's currently rostered in just 34 percent of Yahoo leagues and 32 percent of ESPN leagues.
