Ravens' Lamar Jackson Out vs. Rams With Hamstring Injury, Cooper Rush to Remain QB1
On Friday, the Baltimore Ravens officially ruled out superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson for Sunday's home game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in Baltimore's Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and sat out the following game against the Houston Texans. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush was inserted as the starter, and the Ravens suffered a 44-10 loss to fall to 1-4 this season.

Jackson did not practice at all this week, eliminating all hopes of him returning after a one-game absence. Rush is in line to start a second straight game in place of Jackson.
In his four appearances this year, Jackson has thrown for 869 yards, 10 touchdowns and an interception while rushing for 166 yards and another score. He was sacked 15 times behind a banged-up Ravens offensive line.
Baltimore entered this season with Super Bowl aspirations, as Jackson is one of the best players in the league when healthy. The team has been knocking on the door of title contention for years but has struggled to break through. Jackson was expected to lead the Ravens to a new stratosphere before this setback.
Without Jackson, Baltimore will continue to rely on Rush to lead the offense. Star running back Derrick Henry is among those who will have to up their game until the two-time NFL MVP is able to return.
