Saquon Barkley Confirms Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown Meeting, Says 'It Was a Good Thing'
After reports surfaced that Philadelphia Eagles stars Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown met privately amid the team's offensive concerns, the players downplayed the situation.
While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Barkley confirmed that he had a sit-down with Hurts and Brown on Monday, but he made it clear that it was something positive despite the typical perception of a players-only meeting.
"I felt like that conversation was meant to stay between us, but the focus was all about the team, and I think it was a good thing," Barkley said, per ESPN. "I would definitely say it wasn't like a players' meeting. When you hear 'players' meeting,' that's like all hell's breaking loose. It wasn't that at all. But also that we're teammates, we're all friends, we're just having a conversation."

Hurts also dismissed the notion that the meeting indicated a brewing problem for Philadelphia, describing it as "really just teammates being teammates."
"It's just us talking about the collective, talking about taking ownership for what we can and talking about how we move forward as a team so we continue to find ways to win games," Hurts said.
The meeting came after the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Denver Broncos 21-17 on Sunday. Brown failed to reach the end zone for the fourth time in five games this season, and Barkley fell short of the 100-yard mark for the fifth straight game.
Philadelphia will have a quick turnaround in Week 6, as the team will face the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. It remains to be seen if Monday's meeting will pay off and solve the Eagles' offensive woes.
