Odell Beckham Jr. Floats Chiefs, Steelers, Rams As Landing Spots After NFL Suspension
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is facing a six-game suspension and was a non-factor for the Miami Dolphins last season, but he is still holding out hope he will play for a contender at some point during the 2025 campaign.
In fact, he specifically mentioned the Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs during a Tuesday appearance on The Pivot Podcast (1:14:10 mark).
"You can say whatever you want about me," Beckham said. "I stand firm in knowing who I am today. I ain't never cheated anybody but myself. … I'm going to stand on that and I'm going to keep it going. And then you're going to see me, maybe with the Steelers or the Rams or if the Chiefs want to call me. Then I'll be playing in a Super Bowl this year."

It was also during that podcast that Beckham revealed he will serve a six-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drugs policy in a move he wishes he did last season.
"In hindsight, I should have just taken it," Beckham said (52:45 mark). "Had the six games, got punished then, let it blow over."
The LSU product was sidelined at the start of the 2024 campaign following offseason knee surgery and was limited to just nine games for the Dolphins. He finished with nine catches for 55 yards after missing the 2022 season and posting 35 catches for 565 yards and three scores in 2023 for the Baltimore Ravens.
There was a time when Beckham was one of the best receivers in the league with a resume that includes an Offensive Rookie of the Year, three Pro Bowl selections and five seasons with more than 1,000 receiving yards.
He accomplished much of that during his first five years in the league with the New York Giants, but he also won a Super Bowl with the Rams during the 2021 season after they signed him following a release from the Cleveland Browns.
In a perfect world for the 32-year-old, he could follow a similar path as a midseason addition for a team that needed wide receiver depth in the pursuit of a Lombardi Trophy.
That might not be his former team in the Rams, though, considering they have Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. And the Chiefs will have Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton once the former returns from his suspension.
Perhaps the Steelers could use another option in the passing attack alongside DK Metcalf, but it is fair to question whether Beckham can still be productive after injuries and time away have impacted his game.
