Biggest Sleepers at Every Position for Week 4 Fantasy Football 2025
Fantasy football managers who need long-term replacements have plenty of options entering Week 4. High-upside sleepers at every offensive position are widely available.
Last Sunday, we saw a sneak peek at a team's new-look backfield, and the lead running back is probably a free agent in your league.
A club lost its starting tailback for the season, which means more touches to go around for backups.
Surprisingly, one of the NFL's leaders in touchdown receptions is an underrated fantasy asset.
If you're searching for new names, take a look at a couple of tight ends who could blossom into key contributors for their respective teams' aerial attacks.
All of the sleepers below are available in at least 50 percent of leagues according to FantasyPros' roster consensus percentages.
QB Tua Tagovailoa vs. New York Jets (28 Percent Rostered)
1 of 8.jpg)
Tua Tagovailoa has taken criticism for his interceptions in crucial moments, which is reasonable. He has thrown for five touchdown passes and four interceptions in three weeks.
That said, fantasy managers have a good reason to worry less about his turnovers. This season, the New York Jets haven't registered a takeaway. Also, Gang Green's defense ranks 25th in net yards allowed per pass attempt.
Tagovailoa should have a solid outing against the Jets' mediocre 14th-ranked pass defense with an aerial attack that can be explosive with wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Tagovailoa cracks the top 10 in fantasy scoring among quarterbacks in a matchup with the Jets defense, which allows the 11th-most fantasy points to signal-callers.
QB Geno Smith vs. Chicago Bears (21 Percent Rostered)
2 of 8.jpg)
Believe it or not, Geno Smith is tied for 11th in fantasy scoring among quarterbacks. He's under center for a pass-heavy offense that struggles mightily to protect him and open lanes for the ground game.
Though the Raiders' aerial offensive production isn't sustainable with the number of hits their signal-caller takes in the pocket, Smith could be in line for a productive outing against the Chicago Bears' 27th-ranked pass defense.
Through three weeks, Chicago has allowed the third-most fantasy points to QBs, giving up eight passing touchdowns, which is the most in the league.
DraftKings has an over-under of 47.5 points for this game, projecting that these teams could rack up several touchdowns in a matchup that features defensive units that rank 21st or worse in scoring.
Smith may be involved in a high-scoring battle with Caleb Williams, who's coming off his best performance of the season.
RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. at Atlanta Falcons (6 Percent Rostered)
3 of 8.jpg)
In the first game since running back Austin Ekeler tore his Achilles, Chris Rodriguez Jr. led the Washington Commanders backfield in carries with 11. Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jeremy McNichols logged eight and four rush attempts, respectively.
Rodriguez had the most carries, indicating his role as the lead back while Ekeler is out, even though McNichols had a big touchdown run.
As the starting running back in his 2025 regular-season debut, Rodriguez belongs on rosters and in active lineups, despite a tough matchup against the Atlanta Falcons' 10th-ranked run defense.
You won't find many featured running backs available in 94 percent of leagues. Make sure Rodriguez isn't floating around the free-agent pool. He'll have some opportunities to score on a team that gave up 30 points to the Carolina Panthers last week.
RB Emari Demercado vs. Seattle Seahawks (1 Percent Rostered)
4 of 8.jpg)
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner is set to undergo foot surgery, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season. In his absence, Trey Benson is in line to take over the lead position (rostered in 56 percent of leagues), and Emari Demarcado can carve out a change-of-pace role.
Over the last two years, in spot duty, Demercado made the most of his touches in limited action. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry and caught 37 passes for 233 yards while on the field for 456 offensive snaps.
Across games where Demercado received at least ten carries (over past seasons), he averaged 4.2 yards per carry. Even if he doesn't see a high volume of touches on the ground, managers should pick him up because of his pass-catching ability.
In Week 4, Demercado draws a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks, who rank 13th in fantasy points allowed to tailbacks. They allowed pass-catching running back Jaylen Warren to rack up 86 receiving yards, which included a 65-yard gain.
Demarcado can break out in the open field on a big catch-and-run play Thursday night.
WR Romeo Doubs at Dallas Cowboys (24 Percent Rostered)
5 of 8.jpg)
The Green Bay Packers offense didn't show up in Cleveland last week, which made Dontayvion Wicks a sleeper dud, but Romeo Doubs will redeem their wide receiver group in a matchup with the Dallas Cowboys' porous pass defense.
The Cowboys are allowing the most fantasy points to wideouts. Between Weeks 2 and 3, they gave up more than 100 yards to three wide receivers: Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Luther Burden III.
With those names on the list of receivers to torch the Cowboys secondary, any one of the Packers' wideouts could accumulate 100-plus yards Sunday night. Rookie first-rounder Matthew Golden is rostered in 83 percent of leagues.
So, managers should take a look at Doubs, who leads Green Bay's wide receivers in receiving yards (121) as the big-play pass-catcher, averaging 17.3 yards per grab.
WR Tre Tucker vs. Chicago Bears (7 Percent Rostered)
6 of 8.jpg)
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker is flying under the radar in fantasy leagues and could be a solid flex option as Brock Bowers plays through a knee injury that has sapped his explosiveness.
Tucker is the only Raiders pass-catcher with a touchdown reception. He scored three touchdowns last week, with two coming during garbage time.
Still, Tucker has a strong rapport with quarterback Geno Smith, which makes them a viable stack for Week 4 against the Chicago Bears' 27th-ranked pass defense.
Averaging 16.2 yards per reception, Tucker can post a WR2-worthy stat line with a few receptions in a favorable matchup. Chicago is giving up the third-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
TE Mason Taylor at Miami Dolphins (8 Percent Rostered)
7 of 8.jpg)
Regardless of who starts under center for the New York Jets on Monday night, Mason Taylor seems due for a bigger role in the passing game.
In Week 3, he saw six targets, which tied Breece Hall for second-most on the team. The Jets need a secondary perimeter pass-catcher to emerge in their offense. They don't have a clear-cut No. 2 wide receiver, so the rookie tight end has a pathway to see plenty more looks in the aerial attack.
Along with the potential for more receiving opportunities, Taylor faces the Miami Dolphins, who have been vulnerable to pass-catching tight ends.
Last week, Miami's defense allowed touchdowns to Buffalo Bills tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Jackson Hawes. Even more encouraging for Taylor, the Dolphins allow the third-most fantasy points to tight ends.
Going against the team that drafted his father (Jason), Taylor could excite his family and fantasy managers with his Week 4 performance.
TE Oronde Gadsden II at New York Giants (1 Percent Rostered)
8 of 8.jpg)
Here's another rookie tight end to consider, a fifth-rounder who flashed last week.
In a 23-20 win over the Denver Broncos, Oronde Gadsden II hauled in five out of seven targets for 46 yards. Eighth-year veteran tight end Tyler Conklin only saw two targets and finished with zero catches.
At 6'5", 236 pounds, Gadsden has intriguing upside in a pass-catching role. With Will Dissly sidelined and Tyler Conklin seeing limited targets, Gadsden may now be the Chargers' top pass-catching tight end under coordinator Greg Roman.
Gadsden could keep his momentum going against the New York Giants, who rank 12th in fantasy points to tight ends.
In a pass-first offense that ranks eighth in passing attempts, he could still produce borderline TE1 numbers in an aerial attack that features Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston and Keenan Allen.
