All 30 MLB Teams' Best Prospect at Every Minor League Level to Close Out 2025
As the minor league baseball season winds to a close, now is a good time to take inventory of what level some of the game's top prospects are playing at to wrap up the 2025 campaign.
Ahead we have highlighted the top prospect at the Triple-A, Double-A, High-A, Single-A and rookie ball levels for each organization, providing a glimpse into where some of those players might be headed next year if they are moved up another level.
Included is a look at where any top-tier prospects fell on B/R's latest Top 100 list, which was released on Sept. 5, along with a deeper dive into one prospect for each team.
The prospect landscape has been reshaped this year by graduations to the majors and prospects rising and falling in their own organization due to performance, so this serves as a nice wrap-up to another busy season of minor league baseball.
Arizona Diamondbacks
1 of 30
Triple-A: 2B Tommy Troy
Double-A: OF Ryan Waldschmidt (No. 75 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: OF Slade Caldwell (No. 79 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: SS Kayson Cunningham (No. 92 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: OF Adriel Radney
Prospect Spotlight: 2B Tommy Troy
After hitting .234 with a .681 OPS in his first full season in the minors, Troy has taken a step forward this year and looked more like the guy the D-backs were expecting when they selected him No. 12 overall in the 2023 draft. The 23-year-old is batting .297/.389/.465 with 28 doubles, 15 home runs and 64 RBI in 121 games in the upper minors.
Athletics
2 of 30
Triple-A: OF Henry Bolte
Double-A: SS Leo De Vries (No. 6 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: RHP Kenya Huggins
Single-A: OF Devin Taylor
Rookie: SS Edgar Montero
Prospect Spotlight: SS Leo De Vries
De Vries was the prize of the trade deadline blockbuster that sent Mason Miller to the Padres, and the teenager is more than holding his own since he was promoted to the Double-A level. In 21 games, he is hitting .281/.359/.551 with 13 extra-base hits in 103 plate appearances, and it will be interesting to see how aggressively the Athletics decide to push him in 2026.
Atlanta Braves
3 of 30
Triple-A: RHP JR Ritchie (No. 93 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: RHP Ian Mejia
High-A: SS Alex Lodise
Single-A: LHP Cam Caminiti (No. 88 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: OF Diego Tornes
Prospect Spotlight: RHP JR Ritchie
After pitching just 77.1 innings over his first three professional seasons while battling injury, Ritchie has impressed across three minor league levels this year to reemerge as a top prospect. The No. 35 overall pick in the 2022 draft has a 2.61 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 136 strikeouts in 134.2 innings on the year, and he could compete for a rotation spot next spring.
Baltimore Orioles
4 of 30
Triple-A: OF Enrique Bradfield Jr.
Double-A: RHP Juaron Watts-Brown
High-A: OF Nate George
Single-A: C/OF Ike Irish (No. 39 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: SS Wilfri De La Cruz
Prospect Spotlight: OF Enrique Bradfield Jr.
With top-of-the-scale speed and standout defense in center field, the question for Bradfield is whether he will make enough of an impact in the batter's box to be an everyday player. The 23-year-old has a solid .354 on-base percentage with 35 steals in 39 attempts this year, but his .360 slugging percentage and 20 extra-base hits in 299 plate appearances highlight the lack of pop.
Boston Red Sox
5 of 30
Triple-A: OF Jhostynxon García (No. 85 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Franklin Arias (No. 34 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: LHP Brandon Clarke
Single-A: RHP Yhoiker Fajardo
Rookie: SS Dorian Soto
Prospect Spotlight: SS Franklin Arias
Arias is the best defensive shortstop in the Red Sox farm system, and a solid showing at the plate this year has boosted his prospect stock in 2025. The 19-year-old is hitting .278/.335/.388 with 36 extra-base hits in 116 games over three levels, and he has reached Double-A after entering the year with just 36 games under his belt above rookie ball.
Chicago Cubs
6 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Jaxon Wiggins (No. 98 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Jefferson Rojas (No. 78 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: SS Cristian Hernandez
Single-A: OF Kane Kepley
Rookie: IF Juan Cabada
Prospect Spotlight: RHP Jaxon Wiggins
The Cubs have had more luck developing position player talent than pitching in recent years, but with Cade Horton arriving in the big leagues and Wiggins breaking out this season, that narrative is changing. Wiggins, 23, has a 1.95 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 91 strikeouts in 74 innings across three minor league levels.
Chicago White Sox
7 of 30
Triple-A: LHP Noah Schultz (No. 27 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: OF Braden Montgomery (No. 53 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: IF Caleb Bonemer (No. 87 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: OF George Wolkow
Rookie: OF Marcelo Alcala
Prospect Spotlight: IF Caleb Bonemer
Bonemer was recently named Carolina League MVP after hitting .281/.400/.458 with 26 doubles, 10 home runs, 58 RBI and 27 steals in 96 games at Single-A Kannapolis. However, he is closing out the year at the High-A level, where he has a 1.020 OPS in 44 plate appearances over his first 11 games.
Cincinnati Reds
8 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Rhett Lowder (No. 65 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: 1B Cam Collier (No. 89 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: OF Carlos Jorge
Single-A: C Alfredo Duno (No. 73 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: OF Adolfo Sanchez
Prospect Spotlight: C Alfredo Duno
The Reds spent $3.1 million to sign Duno as part of the same 2023 international class that was headlined by fellow catcher Ethan Salas, who got a $5.6 million bonus from the Padres. Duno, 19, has a rocket arm behind the plate, and he is hitting .287/.430/.518 with 32 doubles, 18 home runs and 81 RBI in 113 games at Single-A.
Cleveland Guardians
9 of 30
Triple-A: 2B Travis Bazzana (No. 24 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Angel Genao (No. 43 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: OF Jaison Chourio
Single-A: RHP Braylon Doughty
Rookie: OF Robert Arias
Prospect Spotlight: 2B Travis Bazzana
The Guardians have leaned heavily on the light-hitting duo of Gabriel Arias and Brayan Rocchio at the middle infield spots this year. At the same time, Bazzana has been put on the fast track since going No. 1 overall in the 2024 draft, reaching Triple-A in his first full season where he has an .858 OPS over 26 games. Can he win the second base job next spring?
Colorado Rockies
10 of 30
Triple-A: OF Sterlin Thompson
Double-A: 1B Charlie Condon (No. 67 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: LHP Griffin Herring
Single-A: SS Ethan Holliday (No. 13 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: SS Ashly Andujar
Prospect Spotlight: 1B Charlie Condon
After hitting .433/.556/1.009 with 37 home runs during his junior year at Georgia, Condon got off to a slow start to his pro career while also sliding down the defensive scale and playing primarily first base. The 22-year-old turned a corner at the Double-A level in August, hitting .289/.409/.589 with six home runs and 19 RBI in 110 plate appearances.
Detroit Tigers
11 of 30
Triple-A: 2B Hao-Yu Lee
Double-A: SS Kevin McGonigle (No. 1 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: 3B Izaac Pacheco
Single-A: SS Bryce Rainer (No. 25 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: OF Cris Rodriguez
Prospect Spotlight: SS Kevin McGonigle
The Double-A Erie roster is loaded with top prospect talent, as outfielder Max Clark, catchers Josue Briceño and Thayron Liranzo and right-hander Jaden Hamm also close out the 2025 season at that level. However, there is little question McGonigle is the headliner, with a 70-grade hit tool and a .305/.408/.583 line across three minor league levels.
Houston Astros
12 of 30
Triple-A: 2B Brice Matthews (No. 91 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: OF Joseph Sullivan
High-A: C Walker Janek
Single-A: SS Caden Powell
Rookie: OF Kevin Alvarez
Prospect Spotlight: 2B Brice Matthews
Matthews went 5-for-35 with 18 strikeouts in his first big league action back in July, but he also popped three home runs, and there is a path to a role in 2026 if he gets off to a hot start and the Astros decide Jose Altuve can be a full-time outfielder. The 23-year-old has an .824 OPS with 17 doubles, 17 home runs and 37 steals in 108 games at Triple-A this year.
Kansas City Royals
13 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Ben Kudrna
Double-A: OF Carson Roccaforte
High-A: C Blake Mitchell (No. 76 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: LHP David Shields
Rookie: SS Warren Calcaño
Prospect Spotlight: RHP Ben Kudrna
Kudrna is more floor than ceiling, but a polished three-pitch repertoire and durable 6'3" frame give him a chance to be a back-end starter. The 22-year-old had a 4.21 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 94 innings at Double-A, and while he was hit hard in 11.1 innings at Triple-A, he is on the door step of the big leagues and stands as one of the better pitching prospects in a Kansas City system thin on arms.
Los Angeles Angels
14 of 30
Triple-A: OF Nelson Rada
Double-A: RHP Walbert Ureña
High-A: RHP Ryan Johnson
Single-A: RHP Trey Gregory-Alford
Rookie: C Gabriel Davalillo
Prospect Spotlight: RHP Ryan Johnson
Johnson became the 24th player in MLB history to skip the minors entirely and make his MLB debut when he was included on the Opening Day roster. The 2024 second-round pick was eventually sent to High-A to get on a more traditional developmental track, and he has a 1.88 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 65 strikeouts in 57.1 innings over 12 starts. His funky delivery and max effort mechanics likely mean his future is in the bullpen.
Los Angeles Dodgers
15 of 30
Triple-A: IF Alex Freeland (No. 59 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: OF Josue De Paula (No. 12 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: OF Mike Sirota (No. 49 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: SS Emil Morales
Rookie: RHP Oliver Gonzalez
Prospect Spotlight: OF Josue De Paula
De Paula spent the bulk of the 2025 season at the High-A level, where he hit .263/.406/.421 with 16 doubles, 12 home runs, 44 RBI and 32 steals while tallying almost as many ways (81) as strikeouts (86) in 98 games. The 20-year-old made his Double-A debut on Sept. 9, and his 60-hit, 60-power profile give him one of the highest offensive ceilings in the minors.
Miami Marlins
16 of 30
Triple-A: LHP Thomas White (No. 17 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: RHP Karson Milbrandt
High-A: SS Aiva Arquette (No. 32 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: SS Starlyn Caba
Rookie: RHP Kevin Defrank
Prospect Spotlight: LHP Thomas White
White will have a strong case for the title of top pitching prospect in baseball heading into the 2026 season. The 6'5", 240-pound southpaw is not far removed from going No. 35 overall in the 2023 draft out of high school, but he has made short work of the minors, making his Triple-A debut on Sept. 6. He has a 2.31 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 145 strikeouts in 89.2 innings over three levels on the year.
Milwaukee Brewers
17 of 30
Triple-A: C Jeferson Quero (No. 66 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Jesús Made (No. 3 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: SS Luis Peña (No. 21 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: OF Braylon Payne
Rookie: OF Brailyn Antunez
Prospect Spotlight: SS Jesús Made
Made put himself on the top prospect radar when he hit .331/.458/.554 with 21 extra-base hits and 28 steals over 51 games in the Dominican Summer League in his pro debut. Even the most optimistic of projections would not have placed him in Double-A in his first season stateside, but the 18-year-old has developed into an elite prospect. All told, he has a .285/.379/.413 line with 40 extra-base hits and 47 steals in 115 games over three minor league levels.
Minnesota Twins
18 of 30
Triple-A: OF Walker Jenkins (No. 19 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Kaelen Culpepper (No. 81 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: C Eduardo Tait (No. 62 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: C Enrique Jimenez
Rookie: IF Haritzon Castillo
Prospect Spotlight: SS Kaelen Culpepper
The Twins have shown a knack for developing offensive-minded utility players, and Culpepper has a chance to fit that same mold, though he has been used almost exclusively at shortstop this year. The No. 21 overall pick in the 2024 draft is hitting .289/.375/.469 with 16 doubles, 20 home runs, 64 RBI and 25 steals in 113 games between High-A and Double-A.
New York Mets
19 of 30
Triple-A: OF Carson Benge (No. 35 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: OF A.J. Ewing
High-A: OF Eli Serrano III
Single-A: 2B Mitch Voit
Rookie: SS Elian Peña
Prospect Spotlight: OF Carson Benge
With pitchers Nolan McLean, Jonah Tong and Brandon Sproat all promoted to the big league roster, Benge now stands as the top prospect still playing in the Mets minor league system. The No. 19 overall pick in the 2024 draft was a two-way player at Oklahoma State, but he has taken off with his full attention on hitting, steamrolling High-A and Double-A pitching.
New York Yankees
20 of 30
Triple-A: OF Spencer Jones (No. 99 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS George Lombard Jr. (No. 30 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: RHP Bryce Cunningham
Single-A: SS Dax Kilby
Rookie: OF Brando Mayea
Prospect Spotlight: OF Spencer Jones
With 175 strikeouts in 113 games between Double-A and Triple-A this year, questions remain whether Jones will make enough contact against big league pitching to tap into his elite raw power. The 24-year-old has a .935 OPS and 35 home runs this year even with all those punchouts, and he should get a big league look at some point in 2026.
Philadelphia Phillies
21 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Andrew Painter (No. 10 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: 2B Aroon Escobar (No. 95 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: LHP Mavis Graves
Single-A: RHP Gage Wood
Rookie: RHP Ramon Marquez
Prospect Spotlight: RHP Gage Wood
Unlike most college pitchers from the 2025 draft class, Wood was not shut down for the year after signing, due to the fact that he pitched just 37.2 innings this spring while navigating a shoulder issue. His 19-strikeout no-hitter against Murray State in the College World Series sent his draft stock soaring, and he struck out five of the nine batters he faced in his pro debut.
Pittsburgh Pirates
22 of 30
Triple-A: LHP Hunter Barco (No. 77 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: SS Konnor Griffin (No. 2 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: SS Sammy Stafura
Single-A: OF Edward Florentino (No. 96 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: SS Darell Morel
Prospect Spotlight: SS Konnor Griffin
Griffin has made a compelling case for the No. 1 prospect in baseball spot heading into the 2026 season, reaching Double-A in his pro debut after going No. 9 overall in the 2024 draft out of high school. The 19-year-old is hitting .333/.415/.527 with 23 doubles, 21 home runs, 94 RBI and 65 steals in 122 games across three levels, and he has a .961 OPS in 98 plate appearances since he was promoted to Double-A.
San Diego Padres
23 of 30
Triple-A: OF Tirso Ornelas
Double-A: C Ethan Salas (No. 71 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: C Lamar King Jr.
Single-A: LHP Kash Mayfield
Rookie: SS Deivid Coronil
Prospect Spotlight: C Ethan Salas
With Leo De Vries and several other top prospects moved at the trade deadline, Salas is the lone high-profile position player left in the San Diego farm system. The 19-year-old is still more potential than production at this stage of his development, and he hit .188/.325/.219 in 10 games at Double-A this year while spending most of the season sidelined with a stress reaction in his back.
San Francisco Giants
24 of 30
Triple-A: LHP Carson Whisenhunt
Double-A: OF Bo Davidson
High-A: 3B Charlie Szykowny
Single-A: SS Jhonny Level
Rookie: SS Josuar Gonzalez
Prospect Spotlight: OF Bo Davidson
The Giants signed Davidson for $50,000 as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 draft, and he has developed into one of the team's most promising young bats. The 23-year-old split the season between High-A and Double-A, batting .281/.376/.468 with 16 doubles, 18 home runs, 70 RBI and 19 steals, and if everything clicks he could be a 20/20 center fielder.
Seattle Mariners
25 of 30
Triple-A: SS Colt Emerson (No. 11 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: OF Lazaro Montes (No. 14 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: OF Jonny Farmelo (No. 47 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: C Luke Stevenson
Rookie: OF Yorger Bautista
Prospect Spotlight: OF Lazaro Montes
An imposing 6'5", 210-pound slugger with a smooth left-handed swing and 65-grade raw power, Montes looks like a young Yordan Alvarez rising the ranks in the Seattle farm system. His value will come almost exclusively from what he does in the batter's box, but he posted an .858 OPS with 32 home runs in 131 games between High-A and Double-A in his age-20 campaign.
St. Louis Cardinals
26 of 30
Triple-A: SS JJ Wetherholt (No. 7 on B/R Top 100)
Double-A: LHP Liam Doyle (No. 37 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: C Rainiel Rodriguez
Single-A: 1B Jack Gurevitch
Rookie: SS Yairo Padilla
Prospect Spotlight: SS JJ Wetherholt
Wetherholt was a candidate to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 draft heading into his junior season, but he ended up slipping to the No. 7 pick after he was slowed by a hamstring injury. With a .308/.424/.508 line, 46 extra-base hits and 23 steals in 107 games between Double-A and Triple-A, he could make a case for the starting second base job next spring.
Tampa Bay Rays
27 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Santiago Suarez
Double-A: RHP Brody Hopkins
High-A: RHP Trevor Harrison
Single-A: OF Theo Gillen (No. 38 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: SS Warel Solano
Prospect Spotlight: RHP Brody Hopkins
Acquired in the deal that sent Randy Arozarena to Seattle at the 2024 trade deadline, Hopkins now stands as the top pitching prospect in a deep Tampa Bay farm system. The 6'4", 200-pound right-hander has a five-pitch repertoire and improving command, with a 2.72 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 141 strikeouts in 116 innings at Double-A Montgomery this year.
Texas Rangers
28 of 30
Triple-A: RHP Jose Corniell
Double-A: SS Sebastian Walcott (No. 5 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: RHP Caden Scarborough
Single-A: SS Gavin Fien
Rookie: OF Elorky Rodriguez
Prospect Spotlight: SS Sebastian Walcott
One of the youngest players in the Double-A Texas League, Walcott has played a full season with the Frisco RoughRiders, hitting .255/.355/.386 with 19 doubles, 13 home runs, 52 RBI and 32 steals in 124 games. The 19-year-old could end up being the replacement for Adolis García in right field, though he is a longshot to break camp with a roster spot next spring.
Toronto Blue Jays
29 of 30
Triple-A: OF Yohendrick Pinango
Double-A: RHP Gage Stanifer
High-A: SS Arjun Nimmala (No. 58 on B/R Top 100)
Single-A: LHP Johnny King
Rookie: SS Cristopher Polanco
Prospect Spotlight: SS Arjun Nimmala
Nimmala has more than held his own as a teenager in the High-A Northwest League, hitting .224/.313/.381 with 29 doubles, 13 home runs, 61 RBI and 17 steals in 120 games. He also trimmed his strikeout rate from 30.7 to 21.3 percent, which is big step toward maximizing his offensive ceiling.
Washington Nationals
30 of 30
Triple-A: 1B Yohandy Morales
Double-A: RHP Travis Sykora (No. 57 on B/R Top 100)
High-A: RHP Sean Paul Liñan
Single-A: SS Eli Willits (No. 23 on B/R Top 100)
Rookie: SS Ronny Cruz
Prospect Spotlight: SS Eli Willits
The Nationals opted to send this year's No. 1 overall pick to Single-A for his pro debut, rather than easing him into action in the Complex League like most high school draft picks. Through 15 games, he is hitting .300/.397/.360 with two extra-base hits and two steals, looking the part of a top prospect on the rise.
