Kelce and Swift officially announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26.
According to Page Six's Eileen Reslen, Kelce proposed to Swift shortly after the couple finished filming an episode of the tight end's New Heights podcast on Aug. 13.
Kelce's father, Ed, provided more details surrounding the proposal.
"He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, 'Let's go out and have a glass of wine,'" Ed told News 5 Cleveland's John Kosich. "They got out there, and that's when he asked her, and it was beautiful."
Rachel DeSantis of People magazine reported Tuesday that the couple plans to "keep it more private" for their wedding and avoid a spectacle.
Kelce and Swift first went public with their relationship in Oct. 2023, with the 14-time Grammy Award-winner routinely showing up at Chiefs games to support her partner.
Meanwhile, Kelce earned his 10th consecutive Pro Bowl nod in 2024 and recorded two catches for 47 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City's season-opening 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5.
As for Swift, she's preparing to release her 12th studio album titled The Life of a Showgirl on Oct. 3.
