Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Reportedly Got Engaged Right After Recording 'New Heights'
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift broke records with their New Heights podcast episode in August, and they later broke the internet when they announced their engagement.
It turns out the podcast recording and proposal happened on the same day.
Per Page Six's Eileen Reslen, Kelce popped the question soon after they filmed the episode of New Heights on Aug. 13. According to Reslen, as Swift and Kelce recorded the episode, there was a crew setting the stage for the proposal in Kelce's backyard.
Per Reslen, a source said that the day they recorded the podcast worked well for the proposal since Swift would "already be in hair and makeup." The proposal had also long been in the works.
"He knew that he wanted to marry her. [The date] was just a matter of when the timing was right," a source told Reslen. "It was less about the significance of the time and [more about] when he could actually do it in between her tour and his season."
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug. 26, but Kelce's father Ed later revealed that they had been engaged for "maybe two weeks." Now, fans know the exact date that Kelce got down on one knee.
Up next for the power couple is officially tying the knot, but they reportedly plan to "take their time" with the wedding planning process.
