Taylor Swift's Appearance on Travis Kelce's 'New Heights' Sets Guinness World Record

If it wasn't apparent from the original live stream crashing, so many people listened to Taylor Swift's appearance on the New Heights podcast that it set a Guinness World Record.

According to the Guinness World Records website, the episode set the record for most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube with 1.3 million when it first dropped on Aug. 13.

Given how important the number 13 is to Swift's life and career, the fact that the record was set at 1.3 million views is a funny coincidence that conspiracy theorists will have a lot of fun discussing.

The Aug. 13 episode of New Heights marked Swift's first-ever appearance on a podcast. She used the opportunity to discuss buying back her masters, as well as announce the upcoming release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3.

As of this writing, the podcast episode has 20 million views on YouTube. That doesn't include audio downloads through iTunes, Spotify and other podcast apps.

Some of the language Swift used on the show has led to speculation that she will be the halftime performer at Super Bowl 60 in February.

There could be confirmation on who will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show soon. Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl 59 performer on Sept. 8, 2024.
