NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Reed is expected to miss between six and eight weeks.
On Green Bay's first possession of the game, Reed hauled in a 39-yard touchdown reception that was ultimately nullified due to an offensive holding penalty. The wideout hit the ground hard following the catch and stayed down on the field before eventually walking to the Packers' sideline and into their locker room.
Reed was listed as questionable before he was later ruled out.
The 25-year-old missed time in training camp due to a Jones Fracture in his left foot, but has been playing through the issue to start his 2025 campaign.
Reed has been relatively durable to open his NFL career, as the 2023 second-round pick appeared in 34 of a possible 35 total games heading into Thursday's action.
He's served as an important contributor in Green Bay's passing attack, recording 55 catches for 857 yards and six touchdowns during his 2024 campaign. Reed also hauled in three receptions for 45 yards and a score during the Packers' season-opening 27-13 win over the Detroit Lions.
Green Bay's wide receiver depth was already thin heading into the matchup with Washington, as Christian Watson remains on the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from a torn ACL.
Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks could all now assume larger roles in the Packers' offense, while tight end Tucker Kraft could remain a key part of the passing attack.
