Kelly Oubre Jr. Says He Doesn't Feel 'Love' from 76ers Fans amid NBA Trade Rumors
Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. seemingly took aim at Sixers fans Tuesday night regarding their reaction to the trade rumors currently surrounding him.
In a comment on Instagram (h/t Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire), Oubre expressed his love for Philadelphia, but noted that "the love doesn't seem to be reciprocated."

Oubre's post came after NBA insider Jake Fischer (h/t NBA Central) reported this week that the 76ers are looking into the possibility of trading Oubre prior to the start of the 2025-26 season.
Per Carlin, a potential Oubre trade would likely relate to the contract situation of restricted free-agent guard Quentin Grimes, who remains unsigned.
According to Spotrac, Oubre is scheduled to make $8.3 million during the upcoming season, and since he is a useful player on an expiring deal, he likely wouldn't be tough to move if the Sixers end up having to do so in order to accommodate Grimes.
Oubre, 29, has been something of a nomadic player since going 15th overall in the 2015 NBA draft out of Kansas.
Over the course of 10 NBA seasons, Oubre has spent time with the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Sixers, averaging 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers made, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game.
Oubre has played in Philly the past two seasons, and if he makes it to a third season with the Sixers, it will mark the second-longest tenure with a single team in his NBA career.
In 2023-24, Oubre started 52 of the 68 games he appeared in and averaged 15.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 three-pointers made, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals, while shooting 44.1 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from deep.
He followed that up last season with averages of 15.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers made.
While his field goal percentage improved to a career-best 47.0 percent, Oubre shot just 29.3 percent from beyond the arc.
As Oubre mentioned, he has dealt with hand injuries in recent years, undergoing surgery in 2023 to repair a torn ligament, which could explain why he has shot a collective 30.9 percent from downtown over the past three seasons.
In 28 games last season after arriving via a trade with the Dallas Mavericks, Grimes played the best basketball of his career in Philly, averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.9 three-pointers made and 1.5 steals while shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and 37.3 percent from three-point range.
Grimes had his biggest role ever for a Sixers team that struggled to a 24-58 record and saw key players such as Joel Embiid, Paul George, Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain all miss significant time due to injury.
The 76ers are expected to be a much better team in 2025-26 if they can stay healthy, and while Grimes figures to be part of that, it remains unclear what the future holds for Oubre.
