
US Open Tennis 2025 Results, Friday's Bracket Winners, Losers and Highlights
The top two men's tennis players in the world set up a potentially epic 2025 US Open final with semifinal triumphs on Friday.
No. 2 seed Carlos Alcaraz began the semifinal session inside Arthur Ashe Stadium with a straight-set win over No. 7 seed Novak Djokovic.
No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner didn't win in three sets, but he did take down No. 25 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in four sets.
Friday's wins set up yet another chapter in the latest great men's tennis rivalry.
No. 1 Jannik Sinner def. No. 25 Felix Auger-Aliassime, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4
Sinner only had one major slip-up on his way to the US Open final.
The top seed and reigning champion fell in the second set to Auger-Aliassime.
Sinner rallied back to win the third and fourth sets and clinch his spot in yet another US Open final.
Sinner will play for his fourth straight hard-court major title on Sunday. He won the 2024 and 2025 Australian Open and won in New York last September.
Sinner is 4-1 in Grand Slam finals, but he has not lost a major championship match on a hard court.

Carlos Alcaraz advanced into the men's singles final with his sixth straight-set win of the tournament.
Alcaraz only faced difficulty in the second set, when he won a tiebreak over Djokovic.
Alcaraz closed out the victory with a dominant third set.
Alcaraz will participate in his seventh Grand Slam final. The last three championship matches have been against Jannik Sinner.
Alcaraz is 5-1 in Grand Slam finals with his only loss in the 2025 Wimbledon final to Sinner.
