Dak Prescott Says He Didn't Spit at Jalen Carter After Viral Cowboys-Eagles Video
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott denied spitting at Jalen Carter before the incident that resulted in the Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle being ejected from Thursday's game between the two NFC East rivals.
Speaking to reporters after the Cowboys' 24-20 loss, Prescott explained he did spit when he was in the huddle with his teammates and Carter interpreted it as being aimed in his direction.
NBC's cameras aired an angle showing Prescott spitting with Carter in the frame, but he is looking toward the ground when he does it.

Former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, who works as an analyst for NBC Sports, said Prescott told him he was talking to Tyler Booker and had to spit when Carter was in the vicinity of the action.
After the opening kickoff, Carter was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected from the game.
Video of the situation showed Carter walking up to the Cowboys' huddle and jawing with Prescott. The Eagles defensive tackle was seen spitting on Prescott during their back-and-forth.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero noted the league will review the situation to determine if any additional discipline is warranted. It would seem unlikely further action will be taken against Carter since he effectively didn't play a full game since there was no offensive play run prior to his ejection.
The Cowboys took advantage of Carter's absence early in the game. They scored touchdowns on each of their first two possessions and put up 20 points in the first half.
Philadelphia's defense tightened up by pitching a shutout in the second half to secure a 24-20 victory. The loss of Carter had a profound impact on the pass-rush, as Prescott wasn't sacked once in the game.
Being able to escape Week 1 with a victory despite not having their best defensive player on the field is a huge boon for the Eagles.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys will lament their missed opportunities that cost them a huge road win against a division rival.
