Red Sox Reportedly Expected to Activate Kyle Harrison, LHP Was Part of Devers Trade
Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Kyle Harrison is reportedly on the verge of making his team debut.
According to Christopher Smith of MassLive.com, Harrison is on his way to the team and is expected to be activated to pitch on Wednesday.
The left-hander was acquired by the Red Sox in the blockbuster trade that sent Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants on June 15, spending time with Triple-A Worcester since the swap.

Harrison took some time to get comfortable in the minor leagues following the trade, owning a 4-2 record to go along with a 3.65 ERA in 11 starts. He's been particularly sharp as of late, posting a 2.35 ERA in the month of August and limiting opposing hitters to a .235 batting average.
The 23-year-old also has 39 games of MLB experience under his belt, including 35 starts. Harrison holds a 4.48 ERA while averaging 8.8 strikeouts per nine innings in the majors.
He'll look to provide some stability to the back of Boston's rotation as the team battles for postseason positioning in the American League. The Red Sox currently own the No. 2 AL wild card spot and sit at No. 3 in the AL East standings with a 77-62 record.
They're only 2.5 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the division lead, though.
A rotation spot opened up in Boston after the team released Walker Buehler on Friday. Payton Tolle and Harrison are both expected to fill the vacancy.
It seems as though Harrison will take the mound on Wednesday, when the Red Sox face off against the Cleveland Guardians at 6:45 p.m. ET.
