Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Reportedly Plan to Have 'Casual' and 'Private' Wedding

It sounds like the upcoming nuptials between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift won't be the wedding of the century.

Desiree Murphy and Bernie Zilio of Page Six reported that Kelce and Swift "plan to have a 'private' ceremony with family and close friends when they eventually tie the knot."

"It will be more casual than people think," a source told Murphy and Zilio following Tuesday's announcement that the couple is engaged.

Kelce and Swift are one of the most popular celebrity couples in the world after starting their relationship two years ago. Swift has been a staple at Chiefs games and recently appeared on Kelce's New Heights podcast along with his brother, Jason.

Kelce's father, Ed, revealed some details about the proposal after Tuesday's announcement.

"Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago," Ed told News 5 Cleveland. "He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event. And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you."

Just like their engagement, Kelce and Swift's wedding will likely be an intimate affair that they will share with those closest to them.
