Top Trade Packages for Jakobi Meyers After Raiders WR Requests Move
The Las Vegas Raiders apparently have no plans to deal wide receiver Jakobi Meyers despite the 1,000-yard wideout requesting a trade this week.Ā
But we've seen teams take similar stances in situations like this, and we've seen that change on many occasions. Meyers is entering a contract year and it's entirely possible the team comes to realize it is better off getting something for him before this gets worse and they lose him anyway.Ā
With that in mind, here are the top potential suitors and packages for the 28-year-old who has 18 touchdowns in his last three campaigns.
What it Might Cost

Star DK Metcalf only essentially fetched the Seattle Seahawks a second-round pick earlier this offseason. And elsewhere, Deebo Samuel was traded for a fifth-rounder while George Pickens got the Pittsburgh Steelers a third and a fifth but cost them a sixth.Ā
With that in mind, it's hard to imagine Meyersāwho is older and has a lower ceiling than both Metcalf and Pickens and could be a one-year rentalāwill draw more than a high-Day 3 selection and maybe a depth player.Ā
In terms of that depth guy, I'd imagine the Raiders would seek somebody to bolster the secondary or provide insurance along the offensive line.Ā
Minnesota Vikings

Why it makes sense: First-year starter J.J. McCarthy will need as much ammo as possible beyond star Justin Jefferson. Jordan Addison is facing a three-game suspension, Rondale Moore has been lost for the season due to a knee injury, and Jalen Nailor's been plagued by a hand injury.Ā
Potential obstacles: They actually lack depth in the areas the Raiders need to address the most (cornerback, offensive line), which could force them to give up more draft capital than the competition.
Proposed trade package: 2026 fourth-round pick
New England Patriots

Why it makes sense: Meyers scored six touchdowns as a member of the Patriots in 2022, and he's been with Josh McDaniels there and in Vegas. They could use another veteran receiver to work with Stefon Diggs as another option for young quarterback Drake Maye. Plus, the Pats lead the league in salary-cap space, and they have an extra fourth-round pick thanks to a deal this offseason with Kansas City.Ā
Potential obstacles: There's a decent chance these teams compete with each other for a playoff spot in the AFC wild-card picture. The Raiders would certainly prefer to deal Meyers to an NFC team, which might raise the price for New England.Ā
Proposed trade package: 2026 fourth-round pick (or a later pick and CB Alex Austin)
New York Jets

Why it makes sense: They're also loaded with cap space and Meyers would make a great No. 2 option to support Garrett Wilson for incoming quarterback Justin Fields.
Potential obstacles: Just like the Patriots, the Jets are potential playoff-race competition for Las Vegas. They'd probably prefer to trade him outside the conference, which could drive up the price. Additionally, the Jets are already lacking third- and fifth-round picks for 2026.Ā
Proposed trade package: 2026 6th-round pick and CB Qwan'tez Stiggers
Pittsburgh Steelers

Why it makes sense: The team is in desperate need of a No. 2 receiver to better support DK Metcalf, and they're obviously all-in on 2025 with Aaron Rodgers under center. Like the Patriots and Jets, they're in solid cap shape.Ā
Potential obstacles: Once again, the Vikings, San Francisco 49ers and other NFC teams might have an edge because a team like Pittsburgh could battle the Raiders closely in 2025.
Proposed trade package: 2026 5th-round pick and CB James Pierre
San Francisco 49ers

Why it makes sense: They're dealing with significant injuries and departures at wide receiver and need reinforcements to ensure franchise quarterback Brock Purdy can get the offense back on track in 2025. They also rank in the top 10 in cap space at the moment.Ā
Potential obstacles: Their 2026 fifth-round pick currently belongs to Philadelphia as a result of the Bryce Huff trade, and that could be upgraded to a fourth-rounder based on conditions.
Proposed trade package: 2026 sixth-round pick and CB Darrell Luter Jr.
