Nikola Jokic, SGA, Giannis and Luka Doncic Headline NBA 2K26 Top 10 Player Ratings

Scott PolacekAug 21, 2025

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander may be the reigning king of the NBA after leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to the championship as the NBA Finals MVP and 2024-25 league MVP, but he isn't the top player in NBA 2K26.

That title goes to Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokić.

That Jokić and SGA sit atop the list comes as no surprise.

After all, they were in the middle of the MVP race throughout the 2024-25 campaign before the Thunder guard eventually won. It was Gilgeous-Alexander's first career MVP, while Jokić just missed out on what would have been his fourth.

Fittingly, they faced each other in the second round of the playoffs in what turned into a classic series that went the full seven games. Yet Gilgeous-Alexander prevailed, as he did all season.

The cover star of this year's NBA 2K game capped off one of the best individual seasons in history with a championship after taking home the regular-season MVP and scoring title. He averaged 32.7 points, 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from deep.

It would be anything but a surprise if he was right in the race to win another MVP and championship this season, especially with a Thunder team that is returning the majority of its primary contributors after lifting the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

He might have to go through some of his fellow top-10 players in the newest NBA 2K26 ratings since the Western Conference is loaded with talent. Dončić and James anchor the Los Angeles Lakers, Durant is the newly acquired go-to option of the Houston Rockets, Curry remains a force for the Golden State Warriors and even Wembanyama could help the San Antonio Spurs turn the corner.

Throw in Edwards, who just led the Minnesota Timberwolves to back-to-back Western Conference Finals, and much of the league's top talent resides in the West.

And if SGA gets through all of that once again?

Antetokounmpo, who is the third-best player in the ratings, could be waiting in the Finals.
