Kadyn Proctor NFL Draft 2026 Scouting Report for Miami Dolphins OT

Brandon ThornOct 12, 2025

The Miami Dolphins selected Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.

Kadyn Proctor is a mountain of a man with rare size, natural power and arguably the best physical traits in the class. However, his top-heavy play style and inconsistent technique lead to too many clean losses — especially on true island reps where rushers can force him to open or overextend. The flashes suggest a high ceiling, but the gap between his elite traits and current technical foundation creates a low floor, at least initially, leaving him with a Round 2 grade on my board despite likely Round 1 draft capital. A move inside to guard may ultimately unlock his best football.

Proctor is a 6'7", 352-pound tackle prospect, who entered the Alabama program as a 5-star recruit in the 2023 class. He briefly transferred to Iowa in 2024 before changing his mind and returning to Alabama two months later to resume his career in Tuscaloosa.

Proctor started 40 career games at left tackle, including 15 in 2025 as a first team All-American and co-winner of the Jacobs Blocking Trophy. He was a second-team All-SEC selection in 2024 after starting 11 games at left tackle. He was also an All-SEC freshman team selection in 2023 after starting 13 games at left tackle.

Where He Wins

2 of 5
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: DEC 31 ReliaQuest Bowl - Alabama vs Michigan

- Massive frame with a dense build and a rare amount of lean muscle mass.

- Jarring power at the point of attack to uproot and overwhelm defenders.

- Flashes of anchoring and ending reps on command once latched.

- Rugged, aggressive demeanor leads to some punishing finishes and body blows on defenders.

Areas of Improvement

3 of 5
Auburn v Alabama

- Undisciplined, erratic positional leverage in pass protection creates soft edges and short corners.

- Bad habit of dipping head into contact results in getting overextended when the picture changes post-snap, causing him to fall off of blocks too easily.

- Upright playing style saps his power and results in him 'catching' too many blocks.
