Phillies' Jhoan Duran's X-Rays on Foot Injury Negative After Exiting vs. Nationals
The Philadelphia Phillies announced that X-rays on the foot of closer Jhoan Durán were negative on Friday night, per Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Durán was hit in the foot by a ball during Philadelphia's 6-2 win over the Washington Nationals and was forced to leave the game in the bullpen cart.

Phillies manager Rob Thomson later explained that the cart was mostly utilized as a precaution.
"He ran like a shot to retrieve the ball, and once he got there, I think the adrenaline wore off and the pain set in," Thomson said, via ESPN. "But before the cart came out, he said, 'I actually feel better, I think I can walk over to the dugout.' But we got all these steps up here, so we just wanted to use the cart and take him all the way around, so he didn't have to go up the steps."
Durán was making his fifth appearance with Philadelphia after the team acquired him in a July 30 trade with the Minnesota Twins, sending prospects Mick Abel and Eduardo Tait to Minnesota in return.
The Phillies will be hoping that he doesn't miss any significant time, as the 27-year-old has put together a strong 2025 campaign.
In 53 combined games with Minnesota and Philadelphia heading into Friday's action, Durán owned a 1.86 ERA and 1.106 WHIP. He's also racked up 56 strikeouts compared to 18 walks in 53.1 innings of work.
Durán has been particularly impressive to open his Phillies tenure, recording four saves in each of his first four of his appearances with the team while allowing just one hit over that span.
His negative X-rays are an encouraging sign for a Philadelphia squad that'll need him as it looks to secure consecutive National League East titles for the first time since 2011.
The Phillies currently hold a six-game lead atop the division with a 70-52 record.
