Robinson did not provide an update on his status beyond that, although he looked to be in good spirits in the photo, sticking his tongue out while smiling.
The 61-year-old Robinson is one of WWE's longest-tenured employees, having been with the company as a ref since 2001.
Before that, Robinson was a WCW referee from 1997 until 2001 when WWE bought the company and absorbed much of its talent and staff.
Robinson's time in WCW is perhaps best remembered thanks to his short run alongside Hall of Famer "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Since Robinson bears a resemblance to Flair, he was rebranded as "Little Naitch," and could often be seen sporting some of Flair's trademark robes.
He has also gone viral on numerous occasions thanks to his officiating work in WWE, ranging from taking some dramatic bumps to his famous sprint down a long ramp and slide into the ring to count a pinfall attempt during the WrestleMania 24 match between The Undertaker and Edge.
Thirty years into his career as a pro wrestling referee, Robinson will soon be immortalized in action figure form for the first time, as he will be included as a build-a-figure in an upcoming assortment of Mattel's WWE Monday Night War figure line.
His likeness has also been included in the past two WWE video game releases—WWE 2K24 and WWE 2K25—which speaks to his status as one of the most recognizable and celebrated officials in wrestling history.
