Giants' Russell Wilson Reportedly Will Start vs. Bills, Dart to Get 'Extended Minutes'
New York Giants fans are going to get a look at their present and future quarterbacks in Saturday's preseason matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Per Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com, Russell Wilson is expected to start the game and rookie Jaxson Dart will play "extended minutes" vs. Buffalo's defense.
When speaking to reporters on Thursday, head coach Brian Daboll didn't offer any indications about his plan at quarterback against the Bills beyond saying Dart would play.

There were no specific details about when Dart would enter the game, nor how long he might be in.
Wilson said that same day he was hoping to get on the field, though he would respect whatever decision Daboll made.
"I always want to be out there with my teammates, man," Wilson explained. "I’m excited to get going, if Coach lets us play or whatever it is, I’m ready to go. I’m ready to play."
It's unclear how many snaps Wilson will get against the Bills. There's also no indication at this point when or how long backups Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito might play.
Wilson has frequently played in the preseason throughout his career. The 10-time Pro Bowler has started two preseason games in each of the past two years.
Daboll announced at the start of training camp that Wilson was New York's starter, with the other three quarterbacks competing to be the primary backup.
Most of the focus for New York throughout the preseason will be on Dart and his development. The 22-year-old was the No. 25 pick in the 2025 NFL draft by the Giants after they traded back into the first round for what they hope will be their quarterback of the future.
Dart was the third-ranked quarterback in this year's draft class by B/R's NFL scouting department, with the primary concern being he played in an extremely friendly system at Mississippi that doesn't resemble anything close to a pro-style offense.
Getting Dart as many reps as possible is of paramount importance for the Giants in the preseason as they evaluate how much development time he will need.
Saturday's game will mark the first time Dart can show off what he's capable of doing for a Giants team looking to improve on a 3-14 record in 2024.
