Tyreek Hill Diagnosed with Oblique Injury, Sitting Out Dolphins' Practice vs. Bears
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is sitting out Friday's joint practice with the Chicago Bears.
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Hill has been dealing with an oblique injury that was made worse during a recent practice.
Hill sat out Wednesday's practice after leaving early the previous day with an undisclosed injury.

McDaniel announced on Friday that Hill wanted to practice, but the coaching staff made the decision to hold him out after the injury "got worse because he was taking every rep that was on the books."
The Dolphins traveled to Chicago for a joint practice with the Bears. The two teams will play a preseason game at Soldier Field on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
There's a lot of intrigue around Hill going into this season after a difficult 2024 and complicated offseason with his teammates. He finished with 959 yards last season, marking his first time with fewer than 1,000 yards since 2019, when he only played 12 games.
After the Dolphins' season ended on Jan. 5, Hill indicated he was done with the team.
"This is my first time I haven't been in the playoffs," Hill told reporters in the locker room after a Jan. 5 loss to the New York Jets. "I just gotta do what's best for me and my family. If that's here or wherever the case may be, I'm finna open that door for myself. I'm opening the door. I'm out, bro."
Hill walked back those comments a few weeks later, but there were still some raw feelings within the locker room when the team reported to training camp. Tua Tagovailioa said last month it was a "work in progress" rebuilding his relationship with Hill.
The Dolphins play three preseason games in the span of 13 days between Aug. 10-23. They will open the regular season on Sept. 7 against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
