It's the only tool that offers the chance to go through the whole process of a fantasy draft, only without the season-long stakes attached. This should free you up for some experimentation, but more than anything, it gives you a taste of what your real draft room will be this year.
Speaking of those upcoming talent grabs, we're here to help put you in the best shape possible going into them. More specifically, we're laying out a 10-team, five-round, PPR mock put together with FantasyPros' mock draft simulator, running through some mock draft tips to maximize their effectiveness and closing with our cheatsheet-style position rankings.

Tips for Maximizing Mock Drafts

Keep an eye out for consistent trends.
Average draft positions are excellent when it comes to letting you know the general area in which each player is being picked. As any seasoned fantasy manager knows, though, that data can go out the window when your leaguemates start going off script to chase their favorite breakout and sleeper picks.
While there's no way of knowing precisely where your league's draft will pivot, you should be paying attention to which players are consistently going ahead of or behind their ADPs in these mocks. Seeing it happen once shouldn't change your perception at all, but if it's something you're noticing over and over, then that's probably an actionable occurrence.
Draft from different spots and build different rosters.
OK, so this is maybe a longer-winded way of saying you should experiment during mock drafts, but it's also a reminder of the many ways in which you can (and should) experiment.
Since you may not know exactly where you'll be picking, you'll want to mock from multiple starting spots to get an idea of who's available where and which position groups make sense to address with those specific selections. You might prefer to take an elite running back early, but there aren't many available, so be prepared for the draft board to potentially send you another direction.
On a similar note, this is the ideal environment for you to draft outside of your comfort zone. While you might trust all of those experts who will tell you to wait on quarterbacks, it's still worth taking a superstar at the position early and seeing what effect that has on the rest of your roster. Maybe you'll find there's more depth than you thought at the other skill positions and wind up actually liking the build.
