Where Travis Hunter Is Listed as WR, CB on Jaguars' 1st Unofficial Depth Chart
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter is listed as the team's starting wide receiver and second-string cornerback on the first unofficial depth chart heading into the 2025 season, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen previously confirmed that the team would give Hunter opportunities at cornerback and receiver in training camp, as the two-way standout played both positions during his stellar 2024 season at Colorado.

Coen also discussed his belief that the 22-year-old could win both Defensive Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, meaning that Hunter may see regular-season playing time at both spots.
โI do think itโs possible,โ Coen said during a Monday appearance on theย Rich Eisen Showย (h/tย Mike Florioย of Pro Football Talk). โYou know, he is committed, man. Like, he is committed to driving, not just himself, but his teammates as well. And I think that his teammates . . . these guys are challenging him. Every single day. Like, he doesnโt get a free pass because he was second overall pick, and heโs Travis Hunter."
Jacksonville has high expectations for Hunter,ย trading upย to select him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
He earned Heisman Trophy honors for his 2024 campaign with the Buffaloes, hauling in 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also finished with 36 tackles, 11 passes defensed and four interceptions on defense.
Hunter was likely headed towards a starting role at either position as a rookie given his draft status, and it appears he's projected to suit up alongside Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown in the Jaguars' starting offense.
Meanwhile, he'll use the preseason to attempt to move up Jacksonville's cornerback depth chart while continuing a position battle with Jarrian Jones and Montaric Brown.
