McLaurin's offseason has been highlighted by contract drama with the Commanders. He is entering the final season of his current deal with a $15.5 million base salary.
The two sides don't seem to have made a lot of progress since training camp opened, as he reportedly requested a trade on Thursday.
McLaurin caught 82 passes for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns in 17 starts to help the Commanders make the playoffs for the first time since 2020. He has recorded 1,000 receiving yards in five consecutive seasons, tied for the eighth-longest streak among active players.
The pairing of McLaurin and Jayden Daniels at quarterback turned out to be a perfect match. McLaurin was the best contested-catch receiver in the NFL, ranking first in receptions, touchdowns and quarterback rating when targeted in contested situations, per Pro Football Focus.
This is McLaurin's third consecutive appearance on the NFL Top 100. He previously ranked 94th in 2023 and 97th in 2024.
McLaurin is the fourth member of the Commanders to make the top 100. He joins Frankie Luvu, Bobby Wagner and new teammate Laremy Tunsil.
Hamilton fell eight spots from last year's ranking after a drop in production during the 2024 season, though some of that was the result of some early struggles by the Ravens defense.
Per The Athletic's Ted Nguyen, the Ravens ranked 26th in completion percentage allowed on passes of at least 20 air yards and 29th in defensive EPA on passes of at least 20 air yards through their first eight games.
Hamilton played deep safety on just 32 percent of his snaps during that span. His percentage of deep safety snaps jumped to 56 percent from Weeks 9-18, leading to the Ravens ranking seventh and fourth in those two defensive categories during that span.
The 24-year-old has proven to be one of the most versatile defensive players in the NFL through his first three seasons. He finished 2023 with 13 passes defensed, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks to earn All-Pro first-team honors.
Hamilton's statistical production wasn't as impressive last season, though he still finished with a career-high six quarterback hits and nine passes defensed.
There's no shortage of star talent in Baltimore, but Hamilton might be the best player on the roster after Lamar Jackson.
