Commanders Reportedly Turned Down Terry McLaurin Trade Inquiries amid Contract Rumors
The Washington Commanders have turned down trade requests regarding star wide receiver Terry McLaurin as the team navigates through his contract situation, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
"I can tell you they're not trading him, that's not on the table at this moment," Russini reported during a Wednesday appearance on The Rich Eisen Show (16:30 mark). "Teams have inquired over the last few months and they've all been told 'no.'"

McLaurin is scheduled to enter the final season of his current contract, as he'll carry a $25.5 million cap hit in 2025.
The wideout and the Commanders have discussed a new contract but the "biggest holdup" in negotiations is his age, per Russini (15:01 mark).
McLaurin will be turning 30 years old in Week 3 of the 2025 season.
On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that he feels McLaurin "wants considerably more" than the $33 million average annual value that fellow receiver DK Metcalf received on his recent contract extension from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
McLaurin didn't show up to the start of Washington's training camp as he awaited a new deal, but eventually reported to camp before he was placed on the physically unable to perform list.
The two-time Pro Bowl receiver is coming off a strong 2024 campaign, hauling in 82 receptions for 1,096 yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns.
McLaurin has been a steady presence in Washington's offense throughout his career, as he's suited up in all 17 regular-season games and surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past four years.
While the Commanders are still working on a new contract with McLaurin, a trade doesn't seem to be on the table.
