Bosa fell 30 spots from his 2024 ranking, but he still performed as one of the best edge rushers in the NFL. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year and the fifth time in his six-year career.
The 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year may have had a down year by his standards, but he still posted respectable numbers of 52 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, nine sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He was limited to 14 games due to hip and oblique injuries, one of many key players to miss time for the 49ers as they disappointingly finished with a 6-11 record and fell short of the playoffs.
If Bosa and the team's other stars can stay healthy in 2025, San Francisco will re-establish itself as a Super Bowl contender and one of the elite teams in the NFC.
After spending the first seven years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, Mixon was traded to the Texans last offseason for just a seventh-round draft pick. He proved that he's worth much more than that with a strong showing for his new team.
Despite being limited to 14 games due to an ankle injury, Mixon produced 1,016 yards and 11 touchdowns on 245 carries while also adding 36 catches for 309 yards and another score. He helped Houston win its second straight AFC South title and advance to the Divisional Round of the playoffs, where the team lost to the eventual AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs. In two playoff games, Mixon ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 43 carries.
As he enters his second year with the Texans, Mixon is dealing with a foot injury that reportedly could sideline him for all of training camp. NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Texans are holding him out of training camp for "multiple weeks" with the hope he can be ready for Week 1.
Once Mixon returns to full health, he appears to be in a prime position to remain one of the top running backs in the NFL. He will undoubtedly be motivated to help Houston contend for another playoff spot and make a deeper postseason run in 2025.
