Mariners' Dylan Moore On Trade Block Amid Eugenio Suarez Rumors At MLB Deadline
The Seattle Mariners are shopping Dylan Moore amid their reported pursuit of Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suárez, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported on Friday.
The Mariners "remain in the mix for Suárez" even after completing a separate trade with the Diamondbacks for first baseman Josh Naylor, according to Rosenthal.
A club source told Rosenthal there are "lots of moving parts" in the Mariners' negotiations for the Diamondbacks slugger.

Moore, who turns 33 in August, is playing on an expiring contract worth $3.9 million this season, per Spotrac.
He will likely not garner as much interest on the trade block as he would have been during his Gold Glove campaign in 2024.
Not only is Moore going through an offensive slump that has seen the 32-year-old bat just .040 through 54 plate appearances since the beginning of June, but his -3 OAA ranks in just the 15th percentile of MLB fielders this season, per Baseball Reference and Baseball Savant.
Teams interested in adding a utility player with experience in both the infield and outfield could still consider adding him, especially if the Mariners become even more motivated to move him from the active roster after adding Suárez.
The Mariners aren't the only team in the running for Suárez, who leads MLB with 87 RBI through 102 games.
USA Today's Bob Nightengale recently reported that in addition to "aggressive" pursuits from the Mariners and New York Yankees, a "handful" of other teams are also interested in a trade.
If the Mariners do ultimately manage to beat out the Yankees acquire Suárez alongside Naylor, their arrival in the lineup combined with Moore's expiring contract will further motivate Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto to attempt to recoup some assets for the veteran ahead of next Thursday's trade deadline.
