Every NHL Team's Mount Rushmore of the Quarter Century
Each NHL team has its share of players whose accomplishments stood out among their teammates. They might be scoring forwards, skilled defensemen or outstanding goaltenders.
Among them, a handful would be considered to be the very best. Their faces would be carved on their team's Mount Rushmore of their top-four players of all time.
For NHL teams with very long histories, it would be difficult to narrow the field to four players. For those with shorter histories, the list would be easier to choose from.
We've decided to narrow the focus down to within the past 25 years of NHL history, starting with the 2000-01 season. Those players are more familiar to today's fans based on overall performance, postseason success, and value to their respective clubs and potential standing as a fan favorite during that period.
Some of the players on this list may appear on more than one team's Mount Rushmore, as their careers were divided between multiple clubs. We've also included players who skated on relocated teams, such as the Atlanta Thrashers (now Winnipeg Jets) and Arizona Coyotes (now Utah Mammoth).
