MLB Says Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. 'Was Here for the Vibes' After 3 HR in Derby
Jazz Chisholm Jr. had a Home Run Derby to forget Monday, and Major League Baseball's official social-media account appeared to have some fun with the situation.
After the New York Yankees All-Star hit just three home runs in the opening round, MLB posted that he was "here for the vibes."

There were eight competitors in this year's Home Run Derby, and the four players who hit the most long balls advanced to the semifinals. Nobody hit fewer than Chisholm's three, while Oneil Cruz of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Junior Caminero of the Tampa Bay Rays set the pace with 21 homers.
Jayson Stark of The Athletic noted Chisholm's three home runs in his 37 swings marked the lowest total since Troy Tulowitzki hit two and Adam Jones hit three in 2014. That was also a different format where players had just seven outs to work with in the first round, which meant far fewer swings.
Before he was announced as part of the field, Chisholm said, "I think I'd have some fun doing it," per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News. "I'd probably do it. They gotta ask me, though."
He might not have advanced, but he ideally had some fun participating.
Or at least enjoyed the vibes.
