Terry McLaurin Reportedly 'Not Happy' with Commanders Contract Extension Talks
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is "not happy with where things are with an extension," according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Fowler said Sunday on SportsCenter the Commanders "have a couple of weeks here to make progress" before they risk seeing McLaurin's holdout continue into training camp.
Adam Schefter of ESPN filed a similar report June 30 on The Pat McAfee Show. The NFL insider said Washington and McLaurin weren't making much headway at the negotiating table:

Making Sense of Every NFL Backfield After Draft 🧐
The two-time Pro Bowler has a $15.5 million base salary and a $25.5 million cap hit for 2025. He has watched the receiver market continue to explode after originally penning his extension with Washington in 2022.
The Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase became the first wideout to surpass $40 million in average earnings, while seven others are getting at least $30 million per year.
There's almost no chance McLaurin resets the market, but he's certainly in line for a raise after a fifth straight 1,000-yard season. Spotrac puts his valuation at $31.1 million.
That doesn't seem like an unreasonable figure when Tee Higgins is the Cincinnati Bengals' No. 2 receiver and now makes just under $28.8 million a year.
While looming in the background, McLaurin's holdout hasn't disrupted Washington's offseason preparations too much. Neither quarterback Jayden Daniels nor the offense as a whole suffered much without the decorated pass-catcher at mandatory minicamp.
It will be a different story if McLaurin doesn't show up to training camp.
