Caitlin Clark Questionable for Fever vs. Lynx After Missing 2 Games with Groin Injury

Caitlin Clark could be back on the court on Tuesday after missing the last two Indiana Fever games.

Per Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files, Clark is listed as questionable for the Commissioner's Cup Final against the Minnesota Lynx. Clark has been dealing with a left groin injury.

Clark, the reigning Rookie of the Year, is once again having a phenomenal season. She's put up 18.2 points, 8.9 assists and 5.0 boards per game through the early going.

But her second season in the WNBA hasn't exactly gone as smoothly as her rookie season in terms of avoiding injuries. She missed some time at the end of May into early June because of a quad injury and has more recently been managing a groin injury. All-in-all, she's played just nine of Indiana's 16 games this year. The Fever have gone 3-4 in games Clark has missed, and they have split their last two contests without the star.

She gave a positive update on her injury on Sunday.

"I mean, I feel good," Clark told reporters. "I'm gonna be day-to-day from here on out. I'm doing everything I can to put myself in a position to play the next game, every single time. That's always my goal, is to be available for the next game and doing everything I can with the medical staff to be able to get my body right to be able to do that."

Even with Clark missing significant time this season, the Fever have managed to stay afloat in the playoff race. They're currently in eighth place in the WNBA standings at 8-8, but are just a game and a half behind the fifth-placed Seattle Storm.

If Clark can return soon and help spark a hot stretch, Indiana could cover some ground and climb up the standings. With or without Clark, however, Tuesday's matchup against the league-leading Lynx won't be easy.
