Caitlin Clark Out At Least 2 Weeks With Quad Injury After Fever's Loss to Liberty
The Indiana Fever announced Monday star guard Caitlin Clark is dealing with a left quad strain following Saturday's 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty.
The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year will be sidelined for at least two weeks.
At a minimum, Clark will miss a pair of games against the Washington Mystics along with matchups against the Connecticut Sun and Chicago Sky. A two-week timeline would put her back on the court June 10, when Indiana hits the road to play the Atlanta Dream.

Subsequent evaluations may dictate a longer recovery period, though.
Clark's scoring average (19 points per game) is right where it was in 2024, and she's dishing out slightly more assists (9.3). Her shooting (40.3 percent overall and 31.4 percent from beyond the arc) has, on the other hand, dipped a bit from her rookie campaign.
Indiana took an aggressive approach to the offseason on the heels of ending a seven-year playoff drought. In came 2023 Coach of the Year Stephanie White, six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner, 2019 Defensive Player of the Year Natasha Howard and sharpshooter Sophie Cunningham.
All of those personnel moves served to raise expectations. A .500 finish and losing in the first round won't be enough to count as a successful season anymore.
A 2-2 start isn't cause for concern, but it's hard not to see White's pointed remarks about WNBA officiating as a little reflective of how much each game matters to a team with top-four aspirations.
The Mystics, Sky and Sun are three of the WNBA's four worst teams so far. Chicago and Connecticut are waiting for their first wins. If the Fever are as good as they think — they still have plenty of talent with Clark out — then they should be able to navigate the next two weeks well.
Were Clark's absence to carry on past two weeks, her injury may become more of a problem.
