Caitlin Clark Says It's 'Cool Honor' to Be Named 2025 WNBA All-Star Game Team Captain
After being named one of the two WNBA All-Star captains ahead of the All-Star Game, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark called it a "cool honor" as the stage is set in Indiana.
"Obviously, it's cool—and it's great that fans get to be a part of it and have a little impact on the game," Clark told reporters on Sunday. "It's going to be really special to do it here in this city."

Clark will lead Team Clark against Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier’s Team Collier after the two finished as the top fan vote-getters. Fittingly, the game will tip off at the Fever’s own Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
"We're trying to make it the best All-Star the WNBA has ever had, and I know we'll definitely do that. It’s definitely a cool honor," Clark added.
Clark received 1,293,526 fan votes, while Collier followed with 1,176,020. The remaining eight starters will be revealed Monday on ESPN during the NBA free agency broadcast, which begins at 7 p.m. ET.
Clark is in the midst of another impressive season with the Fever, averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists in nine games while shooting 39 percent from the floor and 29.3 percent from deep.
However, Indiana currently sits eighth in the WNBA standings with an 8-8 record. The Fever will look to get back on track Tuesday against Collier's Lynx, though it's unclear if Clark will be available for that matchup as she nurses a groin injury.
