Tom Brady Says He's 'A Great Sounding Board' for Raiders in Decision-Making Processes
Tom Brady is downplaying his influence in the Raiders situation room.
In an interview with Paul Gutierrez of Raiders.com, Brady described his role as a "limited partner" and stated that he contributes by serving as a "sounding board" for the team's decision-makers.
“Well, I’m just a limited partner, so Mark’s the boss,” Brady said, per Gutierrez. “And then Pete does his job and Spy does his job and, I think, we trust them to make the right decisions.

“I’m there as a great sounding board for anything they want to do.”
Brady became a minority owner of the Raiders during the 2024 NFL season. This meant that while he wasn't necessarily involved in the team's moves before that point, he was likely at least in the room for decisions like hiring head coach Pete Carroll and drafting running back Ashton Jeanty.
In addition to his role as a minority owner, Brady notably serves as a color commentator for Fox's primetime games. He retired from the NFL following the 2022 NFL season and was a seven-time Super Bowl Champion.
While he likely joined the Raiders to have some influence over the operation, his description characterizes him as more of an advisor than a decision-maker.
