The 23-year-old was cited for speeding twice in the month of June, according to court records obtained by ESPN.
In the first incident, Sanders was cited by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for allegedly driving 91 miles per hour in Brunswick Hills with a 65 mph speed limit on June 5 (via WKBN 27 in Youngstown).
The quarterback was also stopped by a Strongsville Police Department officer on Tuesday morning for allegedly driving 101 mph on a road with a posted speed limit of 60 mph in a black Dodge TRX truck, per ESPN.
According to ESPN, Sanders faces $269 in fines and court costs for failing to appear for an arraignment for the first citation. As for the second ticket, he must pay a $250 fine for the fourth-degree misdemeanor or fight the citation in Strongsville Mayor's Court on July 3.
The Browns traded up to select Sanders in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft, adding him with the No. 144 overall pick.
Cleveland doesn't have an established Week 1 starter under center for the 2025 season yet. The former Colorado passer is the fourth-string quarterback on the Browns' depth chart and is considered a long shot to start right away once the regular season begins, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
As Sanders prepares for training camp, he acknowledged the speeding citations he received on Thursday and was looking to move forward.
