Ravens' Derrick Henry Says He Won't Put 'Timetable' on When He Might Retire from NFL
Derrick Henry is 31 years old with 2,355 career regular-season carries on his resume, but he has no immediate plans to retire.
"I don't know. I don't try to put a timetable on when I want to be done," he said during a Wednesday appearance on The Rich Eisen Show (one-minute mark) when asked when he thinks he might retire. "Whenever I feel like it's time to hang them up, I'll hang them up. Until then, you're gonna see me."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While the running back position in the modern NFL is largely seen as a young man's game, Henry has remained dominant despite a heavy workload even at this point of his career.
He led the league in rushing touchdowns last season with 16 while also tallying 325 carries for 1,921 yards as a featured part of the Baltimore Ravens offense. It marked the fourth time in the last six years he surpassed 300 carries in a season.
What's more, one of those two times he didn't surpass 300 carries in that stretch is when he led the league with 280 during the 2023 campaign with the Tennessee Titans.
The future Hall of Famer has an Offensive Player of the Year, five Pro Bowl selections, three seasons leading the league in touchdown runs and two seasons leading the league in rushing yards on his illustrious resume.
Yet the one thing missing is a Super Bowl ring.
Baltimore is on the short list of realistic contenders heading into the 2025 campaign with Henry and Lamar Jackson leading the way, and it will surely be motivated following a narrow two-point loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round last season.
Perhaps Henry won't even start thinking about retirement until he wins the Lombardi Trophy that has eluded him to this point.
