Giants' Jaxson Dart Feels He's Made 'Tremendous Strides' Since 2025 NFL Draft
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart feels as if he's made "tremendous strides" in offseason workouts as he looks for even greater improvement before the team takes the field for training camp.
"I feel like I've made tremendous strides, especially from my first day to now just being able to understand the pictures of the offense and what not. Obviously, I got to dive into a lot more. But I'm definitely just trying to take it to the next level over this summer, really just lock in, hone in on as much as I can throughout this time, so that way when I get back for training camp, I'm on an even better level than I am now."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Dart made his remarks after the Giants wrapped up minicamp on Wednesday.
The Giants selected the former Ole Miss star with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. He's the quarterback of the future in New York, while veteran Russell Wilson, who has been taking first-team reps this offseason, will presumably take the reins until he's ready.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll is a big fan of Dart's work so far (h/t Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk).
"He's done excellent," Daboll said Tuesday. “He’s picking up the information. It’s really good to have Russ and [Jameis Winston] and even [Tommy DeVito] — because Tommy’s been in this system for a few years here and is kind of the head statesman in terms of that and all the adjustments that take place, or the calls.
"[Dart has] fit right in with those guys. He’s smart. He’s aggressive with the football, which I like. And then, the true test will be once we start and there’s live hitting in preseason games and things like that. But he’s progressed — since he’s been here, to where he is now, he’s made good improvement."
Dart excelled in his final year at Ole Miss, completing 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and just six interceptions. He notably threw for 329.2 yards per game and rushed for 495 yards and three scores as well.
Now he's trying to make his mark in New York. So far, he's passed all the early tests and clearly has Daboll's seal of approval. Now there's a five-week break before training camp, which begins with players reporting to East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 22.
