Panthers Beat Oilers to Win Back-to-Back Stanley Cup Titles, Celebrated By NHL Fans
Sam Reinhart scored four goals to lead the Florida Panthers to back-to-back Stanley Cup championships following a 5-1 home win over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday evening.
The Game 6 victory led to a four games to two victory for Florida, which beat Edmonton in seven games in last year's Stanley Cup Final.

Matthew Tkachuk added another goal for the Panthers, who also benefitted from Sergei Bobrovsky's 28-save performance.
Reinhart got Florida on the board at 4:36 of the first period with an unassisted tally.
Once again Reinhart netted a goal, registering one in four consecutive games. And once again, an Oilers turnover led to Edmonton's defense playing on its heels.
Reinhart stole the puck in the Oilers' zone then split a pair of defenders for the only goal Florida needed.
Florida looked as if it would enter the first intermission with a 1-0 lead, but Tkachuk had other ideas. He took a pass from Eetu Luostarinen, skated to the slot and fired a shot for the 2-0 edge. And with that, Florida scored multiple goals in all six of its Stanley Cup Final games.
Florida led 2-0 for most of the second period until Reinhart scored his second. Carter Verhaeghe lofted a shot at the net that bounced off Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner's shoulder. Reinhart was in the right place at the right time and did the rest for the 3-0 lead at 17:31.
The desperate Oilers went to the empty net after the halfway point of the third, but Reinhart took advantage with a pair of goals at 13:26 and 14:55.
Vasily Podkolzin prevented the shutout with a goal for Edmonton at 15:18, but it was too little and too late as Florida cruised to victory.
The Panthers are now the 10th team since 1975 to repeat as Stanley Cup champions and first since the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
