Caitlin Clark Says She 'Felt Pretty Good' During Injury Return for Fever vs. Liberty
Caitlin Clark looked as dominant as ever in her return from a quad injury during Saturday's 102-88 victory over the New York Liberty, and the Indiana Fever star had an optimistic outlook about her status ahead of Tuesday's game against the Connecticut Sun.
"I felt pretty good, physically," she told reporters. "I think also, just reflecting back on the game, there's still a lot of different things that I could have done personally and we could have done better as a group."
That she believes there is still plenty of room for improvement is a scary thought for the rest of the NBA, as Clark tallied 32 points, nine assists and eight rebounds on 11-of-20 shooting from the field and 7-of-14 shooting from deep.

She was the driving force in Indiana's efforts to hand the Liberty their first loss of the season and was unstoppable for extended stretches of the contest.
It certainly didn't seem as if the quad injury that sidelined her for the previous five games was an issue at all, which is welcome news for a Fever team that is 5-5 and looking to move up the standings.
At its best, Indiana has the star power to be a true championship contender this season. However, it was just 2-3 when Clark was out, which has left it in a jumble in the middle of the standings and 4.5 games behind the Minnesota Lynx and four games behind the Liberty.
Having Clark healthy and ready to go for the rest of the season is the Fever's best chance at realistically making a run to the top of the standings, so her revelation that she felt good from a physical standpoint in her return to injury is arguably more important than the win itself.
Because as long as she is on the floor and launching from deep, the Fever can beat any opponent come playoff time.
