Texas Rangers' starting pitcher Kumar Rocker downed three bottles of pickle juice in order to battle cramps during the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, per AP News' Schuyler Dixon.
“I think he broke the record on bottles of pickle juice he drank today…he looked calmed out there.” manager Bruce Bochy told reporters after the win.

The right-hander appeared to cramp up after striking out White Sox outfielder Michael A. Taylor for the first out in the fifth inning, prompting a visit from the trainer, manager Bochy and pitching coach Mike Maddux.
During the mound visit, first baseman Jake Burger jogged to the dugout and returned with two bottles of pickle juice. Rocker drank both before tossing a few warmup pitches.
The 25-year-old remained in the game, gave up a single and was then met by a ball boy delivering a third bottle of pickle juice—this time resulting in a charged mound visit. He eventually escaped the inning with a groundout.
Rocker finished his outing allowing four singles and one walk across five innings, striking out six in Sunday’s game.
