Haason Reddick Reportedly Arrives to Bucs for Mandatory Minicamp After OTAs Absence
After an early scare, it seems like Tampa Bay Buccaneers edge rusher Haason Reddick won't be a no-show at offseason workouts for the second straight year.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Reddick arrived to the Buccaneers' facility on Monday in anticipation of the start of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. Reddick had skipped the entirety of voluntary OTAs, raising questions about whether he would hold out similarly to how he did when he was with the New York Jets in 2024.
Reddick was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Jets last offseason in a deal that was ironically completed on April Fool's Day. He sat out all of New York's offseason program due to his unhappiness with his contract and requested a trade just four months after being acquired. His holdout extended into October, and when he returned to the field after reaching a contract resolution, he wasn't close to his usual level of production.

In his 10 appearances in 2024, Reddick recorded a career-low 14 total tackles along with one sack and a forced fumble. It was his first time finishing with less than 10 sacks in a season since 2019. His lackluster year was just one of the many disappointments for the Jets in their tumultuous 2024 campaign, which ended with a 5-12 record and a 14th straight year without a playoff appearance.
Despite Reddick's no-show during voluntary OTAs, the Bucs remained positive that he wouldn't repeat his 2024 offseason missteps.
"I'm sure one of these days we'll see him," Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said earlier this offseason, per Rapoport.
That confidence appears to have paid off, as Reddick should be motivated to re-establish himself as one of the best pass rushers in the NFL in 2025.
