The Ohio State Buckeyes will have a notable name joining the roster for the 2025-26 season.

Joe Tipton of On3 Sports reported that three-star point guard Myles Herro has committed to the Buckeyes as a member of their 2025 recruiting class. He is notably the younger brother of Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro.

Herro said that Ohio State "felt like the right fit for me" and that he believes he can develop while with the program

“I chose Ohio State because it felt like the right fit for me, both on and off the court,” Herro said, per Tipton. “The opportunity to grow in a program like this, compete at a high level, and be part of something special really stood out. Coach Diebler and his staff were real with me from the start. The way they communicate, the vision they have for the program, and how much they believe in their players made it easy to trust them.”

Herro is rated as the No. 288 overall prospect, No. 42 point guard and No. 10 player in Wisconsin in the 2025 class by On3 Sports' Industry Rankings. He was also linked to Western Illinois, Southern Illinois and Cal Poly.

He possesses a 6-foot-3 frame and averaged 21.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists during his senior year at Whitenall High School and Greenfield, Wisconsin.

Tyler Herro notably played one season at Kentucky before being selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Heat. He is a one-time NBA All-Star and a key figure for the Heat.

The younger Herro will now look to carve out a legacy at Ohio State and hope to develop like his brother did at the collegiate level.
