NCAA Softball Championships 2025 World Series Bracket Set After Regionals Results
This weekend brought with it a thrilling slate of NCAA Division I softball action. Now that the dust has settled on the Super Regionals, the eight-team field for the 2025 Women's College World Series is set.
Four of the eight teams secure a spot on the World Series before Sunday, with Texas Tech, Oregon and Oklahoma all sweeping their series. Texas, meanwhile, won its rubber match on Saturday with a 6-5 victory over Clemson.
Tennessee joined the World Series field on Sunday, along with UCLA, Florida and Mississippi.

The super-regional round wasn't upset-free, as Texas Tech's sweep of No. 5 Florida State was unexpected, as was Mississippi's win over fourth-ranked Arkansas. However, the biggest shocker of the tournament thus far came during regional action earlier this month. Liberty stunned top-seeded Texas A&M in their third meeting of the double-elimination tournament.
Texas A&M's loss marked the first time in DI softball history that the top overall seed failed to advance from its own regional bracket.
This does not mean, however, that there aren't some terrific teams headed to Devon Park in Oklahoma City. Two of the top three teams in the country are moving on to the next stage, and all eight squads have battled to be here.
All results and the full Women's College World Series Schedule can be found at NCAA.com.

With Texas A&M out of the tournament, second-seeded Oklahoma likely looms as the team to beat. The Sooner have won the last four WCWS tournaments and have won eight overall.
Led by standouts like Ella Parker, Gabbie Garcia and Ailana Agbayani, Oklahoma has a potent and cohesive roster that may be carrying a chip into the final bracket. The Sooners had to get through Alabama, which won two of three back in April. They made a statement with a 13-2 victory on Saturday.
"We're a scrappy team," Garcia said, per Carson Field of SI.com. "When we get up from the start, we're just going to keep balling out."
Oklahoma will next face Tennessee, which eked out a 1-0 victory over Nebraska on Sunday to advance.
While Oklahoma has loads of experience in the WCWS, Mississippi and Texas Tech are both newcomers to the tournament. Neither program has advanced to this stage before. While the Red Raiders swept Florida State, Mississippi needed all three games to close out Arkansas and make history.
Interestingly enough, Texas Tech and Mississippi will face off in the opening round.
Oregon, which made short work of Cinderella Liberty, will face UCLA, which notched a 5-0 victory over South Carolina on Sunday. Texas will face Florida, which earned a 5-2 victory over Georgia on Sunday to close out its series.
Along with Oklahoma, Florida, and UCLA have also won the WCWS in past years. Tennessee and Texans have both reached second place, while Oregon has finished as high as third.
The Women's College World Series is a double-elimination tournament that will run from Thursday, May 29 to Friday, June 6. All eight teams will be in action this Thursday, with the victors going to the winner's bracket and the losers immediately facing elimination games.
The double-elimination format will continue until only two teams remain. They'll face off in the best-of-three championship series on June 4-6.
