5-Star SG Dame Sarr Commits to Duke, Will Join Cameron, Cayden Boozer
5-star international prospect Dame Sarr is bringing his talents to the states.
Sarr, a shooting guard who starred for Barcelona in the Spanish ACB, told ESPN's Jonathan Givony that he has committed to Duke. 247Sports ranks him as a 5-star recruit.
A 6'8" wing from Italy, Sarr was a rotation player for Barcelona in Euroleague and ACB this season. He also made his debut with the Italian senior national team last November after previously representing the country at the FIBA U16 and U18 Eurobasket tournaments.

"Duke was my dream school," Sarr told Givony. "I watched a lot of NCAA games this season, especially Duke. I played with Jabari Parker this season, who went to Duke. When I had the chance to go there, I had to take it."
Sarr showcased his skills in front of NBA scouts at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland, dropping 17 points and four rebounds in 25 minutes against a talented crop of American high school prospects, including A.J. Dybantsa and future Duke teammates Cameron and Cayden Boozer.
"My ultimate goal is to play in the NBA," Sarr said. "There's no better place to prepare you for that than Duke. For me to be as NBA-ready as possible, and become the best version of myself, I needed to have both experiences -- playing for a pro team like Barcelona, and playing in a different type of professional environment like Duke against other players my age. Opportunity, minutes, repetition -- this route is the best next step for me at this time."
Sarr and the Boozer Twins will be ushering in a new era for Duke next season following the departure of projected 2025 NBA No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg.
