Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles wasted little time before immortalizing the unsuccessful effort to ban the tush push.

The Green Bay Packers brought the rule forward.
ESPN's Brooke Pryor reported Monday they amended some of the language in their proposal to make it more broad and look less like they were trying to target the Eagles and Buffalo Bills specifically. Proponents of the change also cited player safety concerns, though there wasn't any data pointing to the tush push being more dangerous than any other play.
Other teams have tried the tush push, and Pryor explained how the Bills have successfully added it to their offensive arsenal. Still, the Eagles are most synonymous with the tactic, and Wednesday's vote was like getting another win over the Packers on the field.
Maybe the team can hang a banner at Lincoln Financial Field alongside the one honoring its Super Bowl LIX triumph.
