Bengals' Joe Burrow Says 4th-Straight Primetime Game at Ravens 'Isn't Ideal'

Paul KasabianMay 20, 2025

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn't thrilled that his team is heading to Baltimore to face the AFC North rival Ravens for a primetime game for the fourth straight season.

"Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight prime-time year isn't ideal," Burrow said following his team's voluntary workout Tuesday, per ESPN's Ben Baby. "Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati next year. Please."

On Oct. 9, 2022, the Bengals fell on Sunday Night Football to the Ravens, 19-17. On Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, Cincinnati lost 34-20 to Baltimore in a game Burrow was lost to a season-ending wrist injury early in the contest. On Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, the Bengals lost to the Ravens 35-34.

And now, on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025 (Thanksgiving night), Cincinnati is headed back to Baltimore.

The Bengals are frequently visitors in AFC North primetime games, which have clearly favored the home team in recent seasons. Jake Liscow of Locked On Bengals had more information.

Last year, the Bengals had one primetime home game (a 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sept. 23). Cincinnati then had four primetime road games (Sun., Oct. 13, a 17-7 win over the New York Giants; Thu., Nov. 7, 35-34 loss to the Baltimore Ravens; Sun., Nov. 17, a 34-27 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and Mon., Dec. 9, a 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys).

To close the year, the Bengals had two standalone games on Saturdays, one at home (30-24 overtime win over the Denver Broncos) and one on the road (a 19-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers).

This year, the Bengals have three road primetime games (at Denver on Mon., Sept. 29; at the aforementioned Ravens and at the Miami Dolphins on Sun., Dec. 21). They have one primetime home game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thu., Oct. 16.

So it does appear the Bengals have gotten the short end of the scheduling stick on the primetime front. Regardless, Cincinnati must move forward in hopes of heading back to the playoffs after two years out of the picture.
