George Pickens Talks Partnership with CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott After Cowboys Trade
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens says he is "grateful" to catch passes from Dak Prescott and "excited" to play alongside CeeDee Lamb after his trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pickens, who was traded to the Cowboys on Wednesday in exchange for a package including a 2026 third-round pick, spoke to the Dallas media about his new teammates on a Thursday conference call.
Pickens told reporters that Prescott was one of the first people who reached out to him following the trade, per ESPN's Todd Archer.

"Just watching his game over the years, he's a very prolific quarterback. Smart quarterback at that," Pickens said, per Archer.
Pickens added, per The Athletic's Jon Machota, "I'm grateful to be here. I'm grateful to play with Dak."
The former Steelers wideout also talked about getting the opportunity to play with star Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb, with whom Pickens said he has trained with before.
"It excites me a lot," Pickens said about playing with Lamb, per CBS Sports' Patrik Walker.
When asked about how he saw his role in the Cowboys' offense alongside Lamb, Pickens answered, per DLLS' Joseph Hoyt: “In the game of football, we can work off each othe. There’s no, ‘Oh, he gets the ball. I get the ball.’ We’re working off each other. That’s why I always come back to building a winning culture, and that’s kind of what we’ve been talking about in Dallas.”
Pickens continued, per NFL Network's Jane Slater: "When I used to watch football, there was always a good receiver, and there was always a good receiver on the side of him. So, I just feel like we're going to work off each other really well."
Both Pickens (103 targets in 14 games) and Lamb (152 targets in 15 games) led their respective teams in targets last season. The Cowboys can begin deciding how that target share might change this offseason, starting with OTAs later this month.
