Chargers 2025 NFL Schedule Released for Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert's Super Bowl Push
Coming off a successful first season with head coach Jim Harbagh, the Los Angeles Chargers are looking to take another step forward in 2025.
Los Angeles finished with an 11-6 record to go along with a playoff appearance in 2024, led by quarterback Justin Herbert and a defense that paced the NFL by allowing a mere 17.7 points per game.

1 Prospect Each Team Must Avoid in 2026 NFL Draft
The Chargers didn't make any blockbuster offseason moves but dealt with some turnover on defense and made additions to boost their rushing attack, signing running back Najee Harris and guard Mekhi Becton in free agency.
Following a wild card playoff exit, Los Angeles is now attempting to return to the postseason and advance further.
Analysis
The Chargers entered the playoffs at the end of their 2024 campaign with momentum, riding a three-game win streak and averaging 36.0 points per game over the final three weeks of the regular season.
Their offense came to a halt during a disappointing 32-12 defeat at the hands of the Houston Texans. Herbert particularly struggled in the loss, finishing 14-of-32 for 242 yards and one touchdown compared to four interceptions.
Getting the Pro Bowl passer back to his former self should be a goal for Los Angeles. Herbert took care of the ball prior to his playoff performance, getting picked off just three times in 17 starts.
His averages of 29.6 pass attempts and 227.6 passing yards per game both represented career-low marks, though.
The Chargers will be relying on Ladd McConkey as Herbert's top option in their passing attack once again after he racked up 1,149 yards and seven scores as a rookie. The front office also brought back Mike Williams in free agency and selected Ole Miss receiver Tre Harris with a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Los Angeles' offense will try to match its defense against an upcoming schedule that features cross-conference play with the NFC East and second-place AFC matchups against the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pivotal Matchups
There isn't an opponent more glaring on the Chargers' 2025 schedule than the Texans, the team that ended their 2024 season.
A rematch with Houston should be a good litmus test for Los Angeles, with a potential win providing a major confidence boost.
The Philadelphia Eagles also present an intriguing challenge for the Chargers, as it'll allow Harbaugh to see how his team fares against the defending Super Bowl champions.
Los Angeles hasn't won the AFC West since the 2009 season, and it'll be tough to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from clinching a 10th straight division crown.
The Chargers have lost seven straight games against Kansas City, but at least one win over the team that has earned AFC title honors in each of the past three seasons could give them hope of potentially challenging for a conference title of their own.
