Latest WWE Rumors on CM Punk, Brock Lesnar and More Before WrestleMania 41

WrestleMania 41 kicks off Saturday night in Las Vegas and ahead of this year's Showcase of the Immortals, the pro wrestling rumor mill is running wild.

Will Living Colour Play CM Punk to the Ring at WrestleMania?

Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats reported that Living Colour will perform Friday night in Las Vegas as part of the Fremont Street Experience, sparking speculation that they could play CM Punk to the squared circle Saturday night at WrestleMania.

Their hit, "Cult of Personality," is Punk's theme song.

It would be apropos as Punk has not wrestled at The Show of Shows since 2013, when Living Colour played him to the ring for his match against The Undertaker.

It would be a momentous entrance for a Superstar who some believed may never make it back to the WrestleMania stage. That it will come on the main event, a spot many believed the Undertaker match should have been in, only makes it that much sweeter.

Will Brock Lesnar Appear at WrestleMania?

The short answer, no.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that, despite Cody Rhodes recently name-dropping Brock Lesnar on SmackDown, there are "no consideration or conversations" to bring him back.

The Beast has not been since since losing to The American Nightmare at SummerSlam 2023.

In his absence, WWE has created more new stars, so the need for him to return to beef up the main event has not been necessary. The emergence of Gunther, Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, Solo SIkoa, Jacob Fatu, LA Knight, and more have made it so that management does not have to go back to the well and lean on the same guy to enhance match cards.

Lesnar was officially named this past February in the federal lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon and WWE, essentially marking the end of his run with the promotion for the foreseeable future.

Where Are All the Women's Championships on WrestleMania?

In regards to the fact that not every women's title will be defended on the WrestleMania card, Sapp reported that, "You wonder, I wonder, and they wonder too, based on what I've heard."

That comes on the heels of an earlier report that Women's United States champion Chelsea Green does not have a match on the card and is not expected to.

That is disappointing for Green, who took every piece of creative handed to her over the last year and made it into something special, creating one of the most entertaining characters in WWE.

It is also indicative of a lack of effort put into the women's division outside of the typical handful of stars seen on television regularly. That someone could not have come up with a suitable United States title program for Green when there are several talented competitors left off the card who could have easily slotted in against her is an indictment on the creative team.

After all, as Green has proven, she does not need a ton of effort from them. She will get it over herself.

The attention paid to the women's division is one thing the creative forces will have to re-examine coming out of WrestleMania and make sure omissions of that kind do not happen again.
